Weight Lost : 3 kg (I weighed around 67 kg at end of Stage 17)

Shortest Stage - Stage 18 Tourrette-Levens to Monaco - 32 km

Longest Stage - Stage 16 St Nazaire les Eymes (Grenoble) to Barcelonnette - 182.5 km (8 hrs 8 mins)

Slowest Stage - Stage 18 Tourrette-Levens to Monaco - 19.3 km/h

Fastest Stage - Stage 9 Dax to Cap Ferret - 29.3 km/h

Most Climbing - Stage 16 St Nazaire les Eymes (Grenoble) to Barcelonnette - 3,157 m

Final distance for the tour was slightly less than estimated due to:
  • Part of Dax - Lège Cap Ferret stage covered in boat - thanks Patrick :-)
  • Slept in Tulle instead of Brive la Gaillarde - merci Philippe et Claire
  • No wrong turns !!
Elevation gain much higher than estimated (about 25% more)

Strong wind in the first week made some stages harder than they looked on paper (especially Stage 4 - Velaux to Montpellier).

I ate 58 Overstim's Perf'n'Delice bars during the 3 weeks, in addition to numerous energy gels and Power Bars, but lost count of the amount of pasta I consumed each evening !!
