Beautiful conditions today, except for a cold start in Dax and a mist over the Landes forest until 10am when the sun broke through and didn't stop shining all day. No wind either !!

Water shortage in Dax ?

I left Dax at 09h30 after a great stay with Manu, Lydie, Maxime and François. The ride today was almost completely flat through the Landes pine forests, which meant that with the good conditions, average speed was higher than the previous days.

Upon the advice of Renaud, my host in Toulouse I decided to change my route for today and instead of riding around the Bay of Arcachon, I headed into Arcachon itself from where you can take a ferry to Cap Ferret. Unfortunately I missed the boat by 5 minutes and had to wait 2 hours for the next one :-(.Once in Cap Ferret, my destination Lège was then just a short ride away, although on the way I joined my host Patrick and several friends on a boat to enjoy some local hospitality. Much later we returned to Lège and joined Isabelle for the rest of the evening.
